Portugal has one of the strongest textile industries in Europe and most factories are located in the northern region around Porto, Braga and Guimarães. In the fashion world, Portugal is often associated with a production process that is fair and sustainable for both people and the planet. I’ve visited several factories in the region and I’m always amazed by the fast pace, loud machines and the beauty of an organised chaos inside a factory.
