At the end of 2016 I moved to Porto and right from the start I was very eager to get to know the city. As I usually do, I grabbed my camera and I started walking around, exploring my new surroundings. Inspired by filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira, I began in the center and walked all the different directions leading me to the outskirts of town. After some time, I grew increasingly attracted to the old look of the center. The radius of my walking routine shrunk and in the end I was mainly circling the streets between the São Bento train station and the Bolhão market.
This project inspired me to explore and preserve the look of a town that was rapidly developing into a more outwardly homogenous European city.
